HMA prides itself in having assembled an outstanding cadre of specialists in the fields of aesthetic equipment acquisition, product and procedure education, office design and financing. At the foundation of our company’s structure is the Polakof family, who are among the original pioneers of aesthetic medicine marketing and management.

	Our president, Dr. James Polakof, has consulted with more than 550 practices during the Dr. Polakof also specializes in developing aesthetic and wellness programs for practices.past 23 years. As a specialist in medical marketing and management, he is nationally recognized as a leader in strategic practice development, as well as an innovator in creating successful techniques to tastefully escalate patient response and significantly increase profits. After his education at the University of San Francisco, Dr. Polakof earned Ph.D. degrees in both nutrition and marketing. Prior to his entrance into the healthcare field, he headed two advertising agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area and later became an award winning producer and director of health care video presentations.
	As Executive Vice President of our corporation Gloria Polakof, Ph.D. has 21 years of successful experience in developing and implementing a variety of patient education programs. Dr. Polakof developed HMA's highly successful computerized patient tracking program and specializes in staff training. She instructs patient counselors in the art of subtle sales techniques and prospective patient follow-up. Dr. Polakof also excels in the creation of "power point" presentations which have elevated client seminars and internal marketing capabilities to a higher level - while establishing both credibility and a favorable image for practices.
	Michelle Polakof, RMT, serves as Vice President of HMA’s wellness division.. She is highly proficient in computer technology and has excelled in staff training for a period of nine years. Additionally, as a double certified Reiki Master, Michelle is well educated in alternative medicine therapies. She also has developed an extensive knowledge of vitamin, mineral and herbal supplements and serves as a professional trainer in scanning patients to determine carotenoid antioxidant levels.
